Why Little Sprouts?

Ali Maanum & Matt Bottkol - Owners & Teachers

Welcome! I am Ali Maanum and I opened Little Sprouts in May of 2013. My husband Matt and I are both teachers at Little Sprouts and absolutely love what we do. We are passionate about teaching, and making a difference in every family that we meet. My past experience working with children includes teaching in a licensed accredited daycare program, assisting & teaching children on the autism spectrum, and leading small preschool classrooms. I received my Early Childhood Administrative Credential in 2016, and we continue working towards bettering our program.

I have a strong passion for creativity & education. When I'm not teaching, I'm learning new cooking techniques/recipes and stretching my skills in graphic design & illustration. Matt and I both love to travel and have spent a lot of time in Central America, Europe, and Vietnam. We love to camp, and stay active, Matt is a strong long distance runner and is working up to running a 100 mile race!

We welcomed our first child into the world in August 2017!

Tiffany - Lead Teacher

My name is Tiffany. I am a military spouse and recently moved up here last June. I have lived in many places, Texas, Germany, Georgia and now here. We enjoy it up here so much and love being closer to our family in Illinois. I have two children who are the light of my life. I have worked at the Child Development Center in Bitburg, Germany for four years and loved it. Children bring so much joy and happiness to my life.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, we love to travel and meet new people. We love to cook, explore new places, swim, ice skate, football and over all just being active. I am excited to be working with such a great day care and see the joy on the children's faces everyday.

Emilie - Assistant Teacher

My name is Emilie and I am a teacher trained in cross categorical special education.  I have worked in elementary and high schools in the Madison area and am so excited to find myself working part time at Little Sprouts. I am pursuing a masters degree at Edgewood college in Marriage and Family Therapy and am looking forward to learning and growing alongside your children.  In my free time I enjoy baking, cycling, and doing creative projects. I can't wait to start integrating my own interests into the curriculum at Little Sprouts.

Rachel - Assistant Teacher

Hi, my name is Rachel Wenger and I’ve recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in Child Life Education from Edgewood College here in Madison. I have had a wide variety of experiences with children of all ages that range from being a personal nanny, working as a respite care provider and volunteering throughout many areas of a few children’s hospitals in Wisconsin. I’m thrilled to now be working at Little Sprouts and getting to know your family! Working with children and seeing them them grow, explore and learn through play is such a joy in my life.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, playing with my dog and cooking/baking. I’m also a big football fan (Go Packers!!) and love to travel, especially to visit my siblings who live on the east coast.

Morane - Assistant Teacher

Bonjour! My name is Morane, and I moved to Madison three years ago from France to marry my American sweetheart. I’ve always known I wanted to work with children and started working at Madison’s Children’s Museum as soon as I was able. Though the experience I got there was amazing, I was always interested in teaching and was yearning to build a stronger relationship with the children that I worked with and their families. So here I am! I’m looking forward to accompanying you and your little sprouts, and to keep growing along the way.

I love traveling, baking, arts and crafts of all sorts, nature and photography, and I can’t wait to include a little bit of these passions in your children’s days at Little Sprouts.
