Here is a review of the current protocol that we are implementing in accordance with the Dane County Health Department.
Your support in the following helps keep our families healthy!
- Follow current CDC protocol when testing positive with COVID-19.
- Families assure that they will not send their children to childcare if they are ill or displaying any of the following symptoms – including:
- runny noses with thick green or yellow discharge
- excessive coughing
- sore throat
- headaches
- rashes
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- temp over 100
- trouble breathing
- test positive for COVID-19
- Any child that has any of the above symptoms may be asked to stay at home until they are symptom free for 24 hours without medication. Please remember no medications can be administered to mask these symptoms. This means if a child has one of more of these symptoms, the 24 hours begins when the symptoms are gone.
- Current CDC protocol asks that any child that test positive should quaratine for 5 days from the day they test positive, and then mask the following 5 days. If your child is too young or cannot wear a mask, they are asked to remain home for those additional 5 days. *12/2022
Special napping considerations at school:
- Each child will continue to have their own bedding.
- Bedding will continue to be stored separately when not in use so it does not come in contact with other children’s bedding and washed after 5 uses or immediately when soiled.
- Cots and cribs will be spaced as far apart as possible from others. We will separate children in different rooms if possible in order to maintain safe distances.
We will continue to disinfect areas that children and adults are coming into contact with at regular intervals throughout the day, as well as before and after the children are present. These will include door handles, light switches, sink handles, mouthed toys (set aside immediately until disinfected), cubbies, cots, etc.
Care maybe discontinued if any Staff or enrolled children need to self-isolate due to Covid 19 symptoms. We are obligated by law to follow any licensing and governmental agency mandates.
